Qualification & Experience-
Library Assistant. :-i) Bachelor degree in any discipline along with bachelor/master degree in Library & Information Science from any recognized University
ii) Having certificate and experience in computer application in library field.
Counter Attendant (HoD) :-
i) HSLC examination passed from recognized Board/Council or passed any examination declared equivalent thereof by the Govt.
ii) Having experience in computer application.
Counter Attendant (District Level) :
i) HSLC examination passed from recognized Board/Council or passed any examination declared equivalent thereof by the Govt.
ii) Having experience in computer application.
More Details-
Applications are invited in standard Form as published in Part IX of Assam Gazette
from intending and eligible candidates who are citizen of India as
defined in the Articles 5 and 8 of Constitution of India for filling up
the posts mentioned below under the Directorate of Library Services,
Assam in the scale of pay with grade pay as indicated against each
category of posts and carrying usual allowances as admissible under rules.

- Application along with self attested copies of all testimonials regarding qualification, age, caste. Employment Exchange Registration Card and 2(two) copies of recent passport size photograph of candidate should be submitted to the undersigned.
- Application must reach the office of the undersigned on or before 25.08.2016.
- Candidates must have registered their names in the Employment Exchange and Registration Number with date must be mentioned in their application.
- Candidates already in Govt. service should apply through proper channel.
- Incomplete and late receipt application will be rejected without giving any intimation to the candidates.
- Department will not be responsible for any loss of application on transit or for postal delays.
- One self addressed envelope of 10 cm x 22cm size affixing postal stamp of Rs. 5/- only must be sent with the application.
- Candidates will have to super scribe the name of the post applied for at the top of the sealed envelope carrying the application form.
- Successful candidates in written test will be called for Computer Test.
