Essential Qualifications- (i) Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scales and a consistently good academic record set out in these Regulations. (ii) Atleast 13 years’ experience as a Deputy Librarian in a university library or 18 years’ experience as a College Librarian. (iii) Evidence of innovative library services and organization of published work. (iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance

Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for appointment of teachers and other academic staff and measure for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education, 2010.

Desirable-  (i) M.Phil. / Ph.D. degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation/ Archives and manuscript-keeping. (ii) Exposure in working with leading libraries on Law and Allied Subjects with research orientation. The competent authority may add/relax any of the requirements specified above so as to shortlist the applications depending upon number of applications received.

Age limit-  Up to 50 years as on last date of submission of application.

Application Fee: Application fee of Rs.1000/-(Rupees one thousand only–

non-refundable) in the form of Bank Draft in favour of ‘The Indian Law Institute’, payable at New Delhi is required to be submitted along with the application form. SC/ST/Physically Handicapped (PH) and women candidates are exempted from payment of fees.

(i)Application form and related information are available on the website: www.ili.ac.in (ii) Application forms can be obtained from the Reception Counter of the Indian Law Institute during working days from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (iii) API score strictly as per UGC guidelines may be attached in a separate sheet.(iv) Filled-in Application Form along with application processing fee, copies of other Documents/Certificates, should be sent by Registered Post/Speed Post/By Hand to: The Registrar, Indian Law Institute (Opp. Supreme Court of India), Bhagwan Das Road, New Delhi –110 001. Envelope should be sealed & super scribed as“ Application for the post of Librarian” (v) Applications received after the last date or without complete information or without requisite fee may not be entertained.(vi)The Institute shall not be responsible for any postal delay. (vii) Last date receiving complete Application Form is 31.05.2016 (up to 5.00 pm).
