DELHI SKILL AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP UNIVERSITY (DSEU) invites applications from interested eligible candidates suitable for Empanelment for Visiting/Guest Faculty and Other Academic Staff (on Part-Time basis) for various Diploma, Undergraduate and Post Graduate Programmes. The candidates will be engaged for assignments from the panel only after assessing the load during the semester to meet the shortfall of faculty /Other Academic Staff in DSEU. The applicant should have passion for teaching, be agile in his/her approach, enjoy student interaction, networking with the industry partners and familiar with the emerging trend related to skill development. A. Following is the tentative list of programmes for which empanelment of Visiting/Guest Faculty/Other Academic Staff (on Part-Time basis) is required:

Honorarium: The Honorarium : (Rates per hour & maximum permissible amount per month)
Rs.200/- per hour with a maximum ceiling of Rs.35000/- per month whichever is the lowest

Padma Awards - one of the highest civilian Awards of the country, are conferred in three categories, namely, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. The Awards are given in various disciplines/ fields of activities, viz.- art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade and industry, medicine, literature and education, sports, civil service, etc. ‘Padma Vibhushan’ is awarded for exceptional and distinguished service; ‘Padma Bhushan’ for distinguished service of high order and ‘Padma Shri’ for distinguished service in any field. The awards are announced on the occasion of Republic Day every year.

2. These Awards are conferred by the President of India at ceremonial functions which are held at Rashtrapati Bhawan usually around March/ April every year. For the year 2023, the President has approved conferment of 106 Padma Awards including 3 duo cases (in a duo case, the Award is counted as one) as per list below. Let's know more about the person who is known as Man of the Millennium Librarian Palam Kalyanasundaram. No words can describe the beauty of this man’s kindness. An 82-year-old librarian, Palam Kalyanasundaram teaches the world that money does not get you popularity and recognition. It is your kindness that becomes famous for which people recognize you as their idol. Kalyanasundaram has acted the role of a librarian for 30 years. Apart from working as a librarian, he has also worked as a waiter in a hotel in a deal of 2 meals a day and some salary. He was honoured as the Man of Millennium by an American association. The guy is a role model and also an adopted father to the legendary actor – Rajnikanth. Do not underestimate the lifestyle and education of this great legend. According to his educational background, he is a gold medalist in library science and also holds masters in literature and history.

The young librarian served his company effortlessly and donated his entire monthly salary to the orphans. He continued to do so, till his retirement. To add more, this amazing and inspiring man never married with the intention to serve his country by his kindness.

• Kalyanasundaram also donated his monthly pension to needy orphans.
• After Palam’s retirement in the year 1998, He founded “Paalam,” a social welfare organisation.
• He was awarded a sum of Rs. 30 crores as a part of his contributions towards the benefit of orphans by an American organization; however, he gave the lump sum money to charity. 
• He is among the first person in the world to have donated his entire salary to the needy.
• The Life Time of Service Award to the Rotary Club of India. 
• Kalyanasundaram is among the top 10 librarians in the world. 
• He also won the award of the best librarian in India, by the Union Government.
• Now he will be honoured with Padma Shri Award 2023
• Superstar Rajinikanth adopted him as his father. 
• Palam Kalyanasundaram still stays as a bachelor as he dedicated his entire life to serving society.
