DG's Bungalow turned into reader's hostel: National Library Kolkata

The official residence cum Bungalow of the director general of the National Library of India, Kolkata has turned into hostel cum guest house for the readers of the National Library. Many readers are came from outside and they have problem to stay during their study days. Now the National Library decided to convert the DG's bungalow into hostel for the readers. 

Now Library Science, Information Science will be an alternative major subjects in UG level : UGC

Now Library and Information Sciences is one of the alternative major subjects in the Curriculum and Credit Framework for Undergraduate Programmes (CCFUP) prepared by University Grant Commission (UGC).
